BioWhat to say? I a retired high school teacher. I've taught in large metropolitan areas and small rural communities. I've taught in public schools and private, college preparatory schools. I've seen a lot in our nation's attempt to educate its children.
I am a gay man. It took me many years to be able to say that out loud, but I have no fear of admitting now. I was married for 13 years and have three wonderful, grown children as well as eight grandchildren.
My roots go very deep into my native Texas, but I have lived in New Mexico, Nebraska, and Iowa.
I was a Peace Corps Volunteer (Ecuador), one of the very earliest.
